Beginner Friendly Powerful Witch Halloween Makeup Tutorial!

Beginner Friendly Powerful Witch Halloween Makeup Tutorial!

If you’re not sure what you want to be for Halloween or you’re wondering what makeup look you could do, look no further! I am starting a series of Halloween themed makeup looks that are super beginner friendly and only require eyeshadow!

So this blog post will focus on the Powerful Witch Makeup Look. For this entire look, all you need are a teal, a gold/copper and a black eyeshadow. Of course, you can change the colours to whatever you want or have in your collection. You’re also going to need a thin flat brush and that’s about it for the tools! I wanted these looks to be super budget friendly as well as super time effective. I know not everyone can get excited about Halloween due to financial worries or lack of time to even focus on anything else, but I hope these tutorials will help you to look bomb and keep the stress out of it!

Let’s get into the look!

  • Step 1:

To get started, make sure you have your eyelids primed with either a primer of your choice, or you can use some concealer or moisturiser. We just want the lids to be a little tacky, so it grabs onto the eyeshadow pigment better.

  • Step 2:

Grab your thin and flat brush and dip it into the teal eyeshadow.  Once you’ve got enough pigment on your brush, bring it to your eyelid and sweep the eyeshadow onto your lid until you can see it with your eye open and pointed forward. I’ve picked the teal shade for this part of the look because it represents balance as well as a connection to the natural world which screams Witch to me!

  • Step 3:

The next step is to make sure you still have pigment on your brush and then drag your brush from your outer corner to your eyebrow in a diagonal line. This will create a triangular shape that will make your eyes look elongated and fierce! Not to mention, it’s a strong eyeshadow shape for a strong and powerful witch look!

  • Step 4:

Next, you’re going to need to clean your brush with some micellar water/normal water. Once the brush is clean and relatively dry, you can dip it into your gold/copper colour until you have enough pigment. Then you’re going to apply the gold to your lower lash line and drag it across your entire lower lash line.

  • Step 5:

Then you’re going to drag the brush out until it becomes parallel to the teal shape. This again creates a really interesting effect on the shape of your eye by elongating it and making it long more powerful!

  • Step 6:

The next step is then to follow the line of your gold eyeshadow up and around the inner corner of your eye and drag it to be just above the teal eyeshadow of before. You can decide how long you want the gold to be but I just drew it to about the halfway point of my lid.

  • Step 7:

To make this look even more fierce, I would recommend dipping your brush into a black eyeshadow and applying the shadow to your lash line and drag it out a little to make your lashes appear fuller and more gorgeous! You can use a normal eyeliner in black if you wish but if you want to keep the smokiness of the look, stick with eyeshadow.

  • Step 8:

Curl your lashes and apply your mascara and you have a gorgeous powerful witch makeup look!

Couple this eye makeup look with a dark and seductive colour on your lips like a blood red or a brown colour to keep the theme of nature! And you’re all set!
