Do you feel the desire to dress well during the summer, but find it hard to come up with summer outfit ideas of what to wear?
Or do you get overwhelmed by all of your clothes that you find it hard to come up with summer outfit ideas?
If that is you, I am here to help! I have put together 5 summer outfits using just 1 White Cropped t-shirt that I have so you can see that you can do a lot with basics!
I have really discovered myself and my personal style this year and I’ve had so much fun experimenting with my clothes and accessories! But I remember not too long ago I would get so stressed out trying to think about what clothes to pair together and not being happy with the summer outfits I put together.
For that reason, I decided to put some simple summer outfits together that would all have the White t-shirt as their base layer. I wanted to cover all of my bases so I went for summer outfits including Jeans, Mini and Midi skirts and a dress so you can see how versatile our clothes can be!
In the world today, there’s a lot of pressure on us to just keep buying clothes and if you wear them more than once it’s seen in a negative way rather than positive. It also doesn’t help that the clothes being manufactured these days are made up of plastic and are made to break while wearing them so that we can come back and buy more.
That is why I am determined to get as much use out of my clothes as I can. This blog post is hopefully going to show you that wearing an item of clothing repeatedly doesn’t have to look boring and it can even be loads of fun!
I will take you through all of the elements of the summer outfits I picked and tell you where I found the elements and for how much. You’ll quickly realise that I didn’t spend more than £5 on any of these summer outfits and all of them were either thrifted or bought online Vintage!
If you’d like to see how I styled them in real time I put a video up on my TikTok with all of the outfits, Here is the link.
So without a further ado, let’s get to it!
Here is the T-shirt we are going to be using!
The First Summer Outfit:
The very first summer outfit for today is going to be the White T-shirt and Jeans! This is just a simple and clean outfit that I’m sure everyone has worn at some point in their lives. But its still a great option, so I decided to keep it in!
Outfit Details:
Top: White Cropped KL Alien T-Shirt – Bought from Vinted (£2.50)
Bottom: Vintage Moto Low Waisted Light wash Jeans – Thrifted (£3.00)
The Second Summer Outfit
This seems like a very simple summer outfit but if you’re wanting to spice it up a little more, I would recommend grabbing a scarf (I just grabbed a square shaped scarf). Folding it in half diagonally and wrap it around your chest, tying that at your back! You can of course wear the scarf as a top without the T-shirt layer. But I find I’m much more comfortable wearing a top underneath and I think it looks really cute!
For that outfit the basics are the same as above, but I wore this animal print scarf over the top of the white t-shirt which I thrifted for £1.50! I also put a belt on my jeans that I also thrifted for about £1!
The Third Summer Outfit:
The second summer outfit in this post will be the white t-shirt and a dress!
Outfit Details:
Top: White Cropped KL Alien T-Shirt – Bought from Vinted (£2.50)
Dress: Oasis Silk Dress – Thrifted (£4.50)
Another thing I love to do is wear t-shirts underneath dresses that have no sleeves or are halter neck like this dress! I just don’t always feel comfortable having my armpits out all of the time if I haven’t had the time to sort out my armpit hair. If that sounds like you, there is another way!
Instead of feeling like you “can’t” wear a certain outfit because you haven’t or don’t want to deal with your armpits, (not that you should or shouldn’t, I just have a thing about mine lol). There is another way you can wear your original ideas! If you have a little t-shirt, you can wear that underneath or you can even create sleeves from scarves! I have a video pinned on how to create sleeves with scarves on my TikTok, @Bungoapplehead.
The way I decided to wear this dress was to wear a sequinned belt around my waist. This allowed me to make this dress shorter and more flattering to my body type.
The Fourth Summer Outfit:
The next summer outfit for this blog post is the White T-shirt and a floral Mini Skirt.
Outfit Details:
Top: White Cropped KL Alien T-Shirt – Bought from Vinted (£2.50)
Skirt: Papaya Floral Mini Skirt – Thrifted (£1.00)
This is such a cute outfit and it’s absolutely perfect for the summer! It’s also quite a summer simple outfit but those are sometimes the best!
I decided to wear the outfit with the same belt as the Jeans and T-Shirt outfit that I thrifted for £1!
The Fifth and Last Summer Outfit
The last but and arguably my favourite summer outfit of this post is the White T-Shirt and the Dress turned into a midi skirt!
Outfit details:
Top: White Cropped KL Alien T-Shirt – Bought from Vinted (£2.50)
Dress: Oasis Silk Dress – Thrifted (£4.50)
This summer outfit was really a happy accident! I was taking the dress off and it pooled around my waist, and I thought that would make a great skirt!
All I had to do was fold the top of the dress over a few times until it was at the right length for me. And then I just grabbed the halter neck ties and tied it behind my back to create this amazing shape that really flattered my waist! Its really crazy how one item can be worn so many ways and all we need to do is think up new ways to wear it!
So there you have it!
Here are 4 (or 5 if we’re counting the Jeans and T-shirt by themselves as an outfit) amazingly gorgeous summer outfits you can wear all while using the same T-shirt! I hope you found this post helpful and I look forward to your experimentation!
